The posted compensation range of $32.46 - $48.28 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.

Every day you will apply your keen assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, unwavering calm under pressure, and the ability to anticipate outcomes. Your dedication to patient well-being and exceptional problem-solving abilities will drive success in this vital role.

  • Effectively delivers patient care in a caring and respectful manner using the respiratory/nursing process.
  • Interviews, examines, and assesses patients with suspected or confirmed breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders or symptoms.
  • Consults with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
  • Performs diagnostic tests.
  • Administers therapeutic treatments according to patient needs and physician orders.
  • Monitors and records the patient’s response to treatment.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Associates Other Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or
  • Bachelors Other Bachelor Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner: ND, upon hire and
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire


Preferred

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, upon hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire
