The posted compensation range of $35.38 - $50.69 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. We're looking for a motivated and experienced Emergency Department Nurse Educator to join our team in Bismarck, North Dakota!

What You'll Do (The Exciting Stuff!):

  • Be a Learning Catalyst: Assess, design, and deliver cutting-edge education programs for our ED staff, from new hire orientation to ongoing professional development. You'll be the architect of their growth!
  • Empower Our Team: Guide and mentor new ED nurses through comprehensive orientation, ensuring they're confident and competent to provide exceptional patient care from day one.
  • Innovate & Inspire: Develop engaging learning modules, workshops, and skill validations, keeping our ED staff up-to-date with the latest best practices and critical care techniques.
  • Clinical Champion: Maintain your own clinical skills by actively participating in ED shifts, keeping your finger on the pulse of real-world emergency nursing.
  • Collaborate & Grow: Work closely with our clinical education team, unit leaders, and staff to identify learning needs and build a culture of continuous improvement.

MNA Work Agreement:

  • Shift type/length: 8 hr days, flexible schedule

Job Requirements

You're Our Ideal Candidate If You Have:

  • ABachelor's Degree in Nursing(required)
  • A currentNorth Dakota RN license(or compact state)
  • At least3 years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department setting
  • A proven track record in education or precepting (teaching experience required!)
  • Passion for adult learning and a knack for making complex information engaging.
  • BLS certification(or ability to obtain within 480 hours)
  • A drive for professional development, including pursuing or maintaining a nursing certification.

CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services.  CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.
