The posted compensation range of $66.26 - $98.56 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Pharmacy Manager, you will be a strategic leader and clinical authority, orchestrating safe, efficient, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care delivery.

Every day, you will lead and supervise the pharmacy team, meticulously reviewing and authorizing prescriptions for safety (interactions, dosing, allergies). You'll oversee efficient workflow, from authorization to dispensing, and consult with doctors and nurses to troubleshoot medication issues.

To be successful in this role, you will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, proven leadership, and an analytical mind for process optimization. Your commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and patient safety will drive our pharmacy's success.

  • Pharmacy Services
    Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards pertaining to the medication management support provided by pharmacy staff across multiple infusion sites.
    Coordinates the drug therapy process for the oncology and other specialty patient populations, which may include any or all of the following activities: drug selection, drug information, dosing, monitoring, outcomes management, and patient education/counseling.
    Provides comprehensive clinical pharmacy assessments on all infusion patients to assure safe and effective drug therapy. Provides optimal selection of pharmacological agents, and design of a regimen to maximize therapeutics benefits and minimize toxicity.
    Educates clinical staff on new drugs, biologics, or technologies for specialized drug delivery. Responds to inquiries regarding new evolving medication related issues.

  • Performs pharmacokinetics dosing and monitoring for all patients on chemotherapy and infused agents where therapeutics levels are reported.
    Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure departmental strategies are met. Actively participates in the Oncology New Services Multidisciplinary Review Team to support clinical decision making.
    Provides professional training to pharmacy students on clerkship rotations.
    Partners with clinical staff to develop and implement pharmacy interventions designed to streamline plans of care for infusion patients.
    Provides oversight of utilization management and inventory control of chemotherapy and other agents. Researches and makes recommendations for clinical and evidence-based cost effective alternatives as necessary

  • Staff Development
    Creates an environment to foster and support incorporation of the CSH Standards of Behavior and Conduct as well as the Mission and Values of the Organization into each staff member's daily activities. Ensures staff members are aware of how they contribute to the mission of patient care, research and community engagement.
    Assists with determining workload priorities to enable timely completion of tasks. Helps with planning, coordinating and supervising staff to meet operational needs and support requirements. Prioritizes and allocates staff, space, equipment and other resources to optimize infusion pharmacy services. Assesses technical and professional knowledge and education necessary for individual staff members to achieve the highest level of excellence for their positions. Reviews and recommends to management and/or staff, needed educational and training opportunities for staff to include company, industry, and regulatory mandated training.


    Establishes performance standards that are clearly communicated and able to be objectively measured. Monitors staff work performance and provides necessary training, coaching, and mentoring. Provides regular feedback to employees so they are aware how their performance is being assessed. Conducts formal performance evaluations and uses constructive tools for communication with staff. For represented staff, initiates corrective action, including letters of counseling, letters of warning, suspensions and dismissals.
