The posted compensation range of $268.61 - $376.05 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Region CFO, you will be responsible for the comprehensive and strategic management of our region's financial operations. You will provide crucial executive leadership across all aspects of finance, driving fiscal health and strategic growth.

Every day, you will oversee and provide dynamic leadership in patient financial services, ensuring efficient and effective revenue cycles. You will also spearhead both short- and long-term financial planning, capital and operational budgeting, and strategies for capital accumulation and corporate diversification. A core part of your role will involve optimizing revenue generation and meticulously managing expenses, utilizing advanced financial analysis to inform critical decisions. You will direct financial operations and leverage information systems to enhance efficiency and reporting. Furthermore, you will hold overall responsibility for recommending financial policies and developing relevant operational procedures, ensuring robust financial governance and compliance.

To be successful in this role, you will possess extensive experience in senior financial leadership within a complex organizational structure, demonstrating a proven track record in all facets of finance management, including financial planning, budgeting, revenue generation, and expense control. You will exhibit exceptional strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for executive leadership. Strong leadership and communication skills, coupled with an unwavering commitment to financial integrity and operational excellence, will be essential in guiding our financial strategy and ensuring sustainable growth.

  • Oversees budgeting and long term financial planning for the hospitals in order to achieve the organization's mission and vision through short-term and long-term goals.
  • Represents the organization and its directors and officers in hospital-related financial affairs, including the presentation of financial results and complex industry and regulatory issues impacting the hospital and its related entities. Accountable for the content and professionalism of the hospital's business plans.
  • Participates as a contributing leader in the hospital's strategy and business development functions and activities.
  • Participates in the preparation and execution of policies, procedures and plans required for effective hospital operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as strategic business partner to divisional leadership and foster close collaboration between divisional and Enterprise level finance teams.
  • Oversee development of budgets according to National targets and monitor adherence.
  • Analyze divisional financial performance and develop improvement plans as appropriate.
  • Leverage Enterprise level resources fully for transactional activity (e.g., accounts payable, Fixed Asset and Foundation/Grant accounting, payroll etc.).
  • Ensure division complies with Enterprise established definitions and policies.
  • Ensure data and analytic transparency on divisional performance, trends and insights to appropriate Enterprise teams.
  • Monitor adherence to budgets and division progress with respect to key Enterprise initiatives (e.g. COE Initiative, etc.).
  • Lead interactions with local Board and Board Committees on financial matters.
  • Provide high level financial input on strategic initiatives.
  • Lead division finance teams when developing new programs, launching initiatives, planning and managing deals, and/or improving services for divisional teams.
  • Provide divisional oversight of the revenue cycle, managed care, supply chain functions.
  • Review & monitor divisional JV arrangements.
  • Coordinate divisional treasury Functions/requirements with National office.
  • Manage direct reports and Division Business Partners including hiring, evaluation, and coaching.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's or Post Graduate Degree preferred
  • 12 years of relevant experience and 8 years of leadership experience
