The posted compensation range of $32.32 - $48.07 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiac Fitness Therapist, you will provide professional care aligning with the organization’s mission and policies while meeting requirements set by TJC and other regulatory agencies. You will help post-acute coronary heart disease patients achieve optimal physical and psychological function, serving as a role model of cardiac fitness by integrating your expertise as a clinician, teacher, and consultant.

Every day, you will develop and guide individualized cardiac fitness plans, promoting patient education and safe exercise regimens. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care that meets performance improvement goals.

To be successful in this role, you will rely on advanced clinical knowledge, strong communication skills, and a dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care. By consistently upholding best practices and regulatory standards, you will help patients achieve better health outcomes and sustain long-term well-being.

  • Demonstrates adherence to the Standards of Conduct Requirements. -Completes and turns in the SOC acknowledgement card -Fulfills compliance education requirements as directed by the Compliance Department or department management
  • Obtains accurate nursing history from patient, family or significant others to complete appropriate admission forms.
  • Identifies cardiovascular risk factors, manifestations of disease and lifestyle modification needs.
  • Reviews diagnostic data such as serial ECG's, serial enzymes and exercise test results.
  • Assess needs of specific groups of patients by participating in cardiac rehabilitation rounds and conferences and collaborating with physicians and other cardiac rehabilitation team members.
  • Plans individualized cardiac rehabilitation protocol and plan of care. Involves family members in program discharge planning if possible.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Masters degree in Exercise Physiology and training in cardiopulmonary from an accredited University.
  • Knowledge and experience in the following: Cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, Pathophysiology of coronary artery disease and Patient education methods.
  • Proficient in basic arrhythmia recognition. Completed a basic arrhythmia course.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from American Heart.


Preferred

  • One year's internship or work experience in cardiac rehabilitation
