The posted compensation range of $15.00 - $20.12 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Join Our Compassionate Care Team as a Nurse Aide!

Are you a dedicated and empathetic individual passionate about making a difference in patients' lives? We're looking for a skilled and team-oriented Nurse Aide to join our multi-disciplinary healthcare team!

Under the direct supervision of our RN Charge Nurse/Director of Nursing, you'll play a vital role in providing essential nursing care and ensuring the well-being of our patients. You'll work within the State Nurse Practice Act, our established nursing policies, and our facility's mission and philosophy.

What You'll Do:

  • Patient Care Advocate: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Vital Observer: Accurately take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration), and track intake/output, height, and weight.
  • Supportive Hand: Help patients with treatment equipment, assist with transfers, and safely transport them for tests or treatments.
  • Diligent Reporter: Observe patients for changes in condition, potential hazards, and report promptly to the RN.
  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, answer signal lights promptly, and ensure a clean and orderly patient environment.
  • Nourishment Nurturer: Set up and assist patients with meals, documenting consumption.
  • Safety Champion: Practice strict infection control protocols and obtain routine lab samples as delegated.

Job Requirements

Education: Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly.

Licensure: ND State Nursing Assistant Registry.
Experience: Previous health care experience preferred but not required.

Where You'll Work

​​CHI St. Alexius Health Garrison includes the services of a 22-bed critical access hospital, a 26-bed skilled nursing facility, an attached rural health clinic, and an Emergency Department that is available 24 hours a day. We offer many outpatient services, including physical therapy, radiology services, laboratory services, cardiac rehabilitation, and IV treatments. Since opening in 1952, CHI St. Alexius Health Garrison has been dedicated to serving the residents of Garrison and the surrounding rural communities. The hospital is equipped with 4 emergency rooms, on-site lab, radiology, CT and physical therapy services. Our patients have access to 24/7 emergency care, swing-bed program, and acute care services.
