The posted compensation range of $66.26 - $98.56 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Regional Director of IT Operations serves in a leadership role in strategic planning and implementation of new technology infrastructure and IT services at the regional level, supporting both operational efficiency and project deliverables. Accountable for implementing programs and optimization requests to achieve performance improvement through the deployment and use of new and existing IT systems and infrastructure. This role develops and leads programs to manage and integrate IT systems, improve system reliability and functionality, enhance operational efficiency, ensure seamless communication of critical information across the IT landscape, and maintain data integrity. Provides expert consultation to senior business leaders at the regional level such as hospital COO, CFO, CMO, CNO, CMIO, Medical Group Presidents, Executive Directors, and Medical Staff Leadership to promote improved operational excellence and support the delivery of high-quality patient care. Keeps current with changes and trends in the IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Healthcare IT arena with a strong commitment to lifelong learning.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads regional IT operations plans, data analysis programs pertaining to system performance and availability, and serves as a champion for complex IT infrastructure and application projects that support efficiency and effectiveness for end users, with the primary goal of optimizing IT service delivery and ensuring reliable technology platforms.
  • Leads the implementation of regional level IT systems and infrastructure projects in collaboration with administration, physicians, nurses, ancillary, staff departmental teams, IT service lines, corporate staff, System IT leadership and third-party consultants and educators
  • Provides oversight and direction to the processes related to maintaining and improving application standards for application architecture and adoption of required workflow by the end user.
  • Leads and influences team of IT Directors and managers in consultative activities with key business owners through the region to define new requirements for IT solutions that are aimed at operational efficiency, system reliability, and overall performance improvement.
  • Is responsible for the quality, integrity, and availability of critical data and the underlying IT systems that support business and clinical needs across the region.
  • Provides direction in the development, management, and monitoring of specific IT operational metrics to regional business leadership and quality leadership.
  • Provides IT performance and cost management oversight.
  • Oversees metric performance to determine the operational health and effectiveness of IT services within the region.
  • Identifies areas of performance improvement for IT systems and infrastructure that can be integrated into new system development.
  • Acts as an IT executive sponsor for new change and is a role model for effective change management strategies.
  • This position is a role model for innovative use of technology in healthcare operations and sets appropriate targets for professional development within the regional IT operations team.
  • Ensures that the internal and external customer perspective is a driving force behind IT actions and business decisions; crafting and implementing IT service delivery practices that meet customers' and the organization's needs by developing and implementing improvements to IT change governance and service management methods.
  • Remote eligible.

Bachelors of Science degree

7 years related healthcare experience

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience

Location preference - Tacoma/ Seattle, WA area
