The posted compensation range of $72.69 - $80.25 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
  • Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate. Screens individuals by requesting to see identification or visitor pass.
  • Image Quality: Consistently produces quality images within hospital guidelines and department standards (i.e. patient safety, repeat rate, exam protocols, film processing, inc.)
  • Documentation: Accurately completes documentation according to hospital and department guidelines, including exam performed, billing, film labeling, computer entry, etc. Performs other clerical duties as necessary (e.g. login of patients, filing films, etc.)
  • Competency/Training: Maintains clinical competency assuming responsibility for upgrading skills through participation in in-service education and other continuing education activities. Participates in the training of departmental personnel and students.
  • Infection Control: Assists MD and other staff in preparing for and performing procedures consistently following sterile technique, infection control guidelines and department standards.
  • Workflow: Evaluates personal and departmental work volume and flow to ensure efficient departmental patient care. Prioritizes work according to urgency and resources. Responds effectively in emergency situations.

Required
  • Must have satisfactorily completed a formal radiologic technology training program accredited through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health Branch (CDPH-RHB). and 4 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist , upon hire and
  • working in and proficient in 1 advanced modality or
  • 3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and working and proficient in 2 advanced modalities, one of which must be CT or Mammography.
  • 4 years experience as a RadiologicTechnologist and working in and proficientin 1 advanced modality or 3 yearsexperience as a Radiologic Technologistand working and proficient in 2 advancedmodalities, one of which must be CT orMammography. and
  • Must have satisfactorily completed aformal radiologic technology trainingprogram accredited through the JointReview Committee on Education inRadiologic Technology (JRCERT) and theCalifornia Department of Public Health,Radiation Health Branch (CDPH-RHB).
