The posted compensation range of $133.55 - $186.96 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. We seek an exceptional Hospital President to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for our Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley and Holy Cross Hospital - West Valley campuses. You will be instrumental in shaping our organization's mission and vision, driving growth, enhancing patient care, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across both facilities. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategic Growth & Financial Stewardship: Drive robust financial performance and spearhead strategic planning, with a particular focus on accelerating growth at the high-potential Jordan Valley campus and leveraging opportunities at West Valley.
  • Relationship-Driven Leadership: Cultivate strong, highly visible relationships with associates, physicians, community leaders, and diverse stakeholders across both campuses, embracing a listening and collaborative approach.
  • Mission-Aligned Culture Champion: Lead by example in promoting HumanKindness, fostering a "team before self" culture, and ensuring our values are embedded in all patient care, quality, and operational activities.
  • Operational Excellence & Innovation: Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including patient care, quality standards, IT, staffing, and network development, challenging teams to achieve excellence and act as a change agent for the health system.
  • Talent Development & Physician Alignment: Select, develop, and empower a high-performing senior leadership team, fostering succession planning, and establishing innovative physician alignment strategies emphasizing clinical quality and patient satisfaction.
  • Community Engagement & Market Advancement: Proactively engage with the local community, business, and payor entities to strengthen our market presence, recruit top medical talent, and build a strong business proposition for both hospitals.
Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Graduate degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in hospital administration within a complex, integrated health system
  • Success in producing exemplary accomplishments in an environment of limited resources
  • Experience in a highly competitive market
  • Demonstrated ability and leadership in change management

Following a major expansion, Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley's capacity tripled, now housing 171 beds to serve our growing community. We have invested substantially in advanced technology and state-of-the-art equipment, which has attracted our top-notch medical staff and a team of highly skilled nurses. Our entire hospital team is dedicated to providing expert care in a warm, family-friendly environment. We are a Level III Trauma center, STEMI Cardiac receiving center, and certified stroke treatment center. Our employees are continually prepared, accountable, inspired and ensure compliance with the highest levels of quality care and patient safety standards. Recently given the Women’s Choice Award for America’s 100 Best Hospitals Emergency Care, we are the only designated trauma center west of I-15 in the Salt Lake Valley.

As one of the busiest ERs in Utah, Holy Cross Hospital - West Valley is known for offering a broad spectrum of medical services and specialty clinics to care for the diverse healthcare needs of our growing community. We are on a mission to provide the highest quality health care services with compassion and respect and demonstrate this daily with proactive, focused, caring interactions that comfort, inform and promote healing among patients, families, and co-workers.
