The posted compensation range of $25.42 - $37.82 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities of the security team, ensuring the safety and security of our premises, patients, staff, and visitors.

Every day you will manage and mentor security personnel, assign patrols and posts, respond to incidents, enforce security policies, and conduct investigations, all while maintaining a visible and reassuring presence.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong leadership, effective communication, and a comprehensive understanding of security protocols and emergency response, crucial for maintaining a safe and secure environment.

  • Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Assigns day-to-day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members.
  • Allocate and direct staffing needs to meet patients, unit, and departmental needs, and collaborate with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met.
  • Manage performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognize, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Commitments using corrective action.
  • Performs security responsibilities required of Security Officers (see Security Officer Job description).
  • Maintains expertise in primary visual monitoring systems including computer-linked security equipment, CCTV, CCURE and other electronic control and alarm systems.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Associates Other and minimum of 1 year experience in the discipline , upon hire or
  • three (3) years’ experience as a security officer or
  • 1 year experience as a Lead officer.
  • Driver's License: NE, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days and


Preferred

  • Basic Health Care Security Officer, upon hire
