The posted compensation range of $29.49 - $45.81 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Sterile Processing Supervisor, you will provide 24-hour oversight and leadership for the Sterile Processing unit. This critical role ensures efficient, safe, and cost-effective sterilization, directly impacting patient safety and clinical operations.

Every day you will manage and lead the Sterile Processing team, allocating staff, equipment, and resources cost-effectively. You'll assist the manager with budget preparation, maintenance, and monitoring. You will also develop and maintain standards of care consistent with hospital policies and our Mission and Philosophy.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong supervisory skills, in-depth sterile processing knowledge, patient safety expertise, and resource management. Excellent financial acumen, communication, and an unwavering commitment to quality assurance and organizational values are essential.

  • Assures that department policies, practices and procedures conform to all appropriate regulations and standards.
  • Ensures that instrument trays and other items are properly decontaminated, assembled and sterilized.
  • Assures timely delivery of sterilized items to customers.
  • Assures that sterilization practices and equipment meet quality standards
  • Investigates problems/concerns and develops and implements action plans to resolve.
  • Provides direct supervision for the Sterile Processing Department staff in a way that creates a positive work environment and ensures compliance with all organizational and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Other Business Adm, Nursing or comparable combination of education and experience (within 24 months)
  • 3 years experience in sterile processing department in an acute medical center 1 year of which must have been at a supervisory level
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor, upon hire or
  • Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech, upon hire or
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech, upon hire or
  • Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire

Founded in 1976, Holy Cross Hospital - Davis has grown into a 220-bed hospital of choice for the flourishing communities of northern Utah. Over the years we have enhanced our care by offering a broad range of services, advanced medical technology, and a comfortable, convenient patient experience. To meet the needs of northern Utah’s growing population, we opened a brand-new 16,000-square-foot healthcare facility in Roy, known as the Weber Campus. The Weber Campus, which is convenient for patients in Ogden, Roy, and other neighborhoods west of I-15, currently offers emergency care, radiology, mammography and 24/7 laboratory services. Located in the northern portion of the Wasatch Front and only minutes from Hill Air Force Base, you can enjoy quick access to Ogden, Salt Lake City, Antelope Island State Park, hiking, biking, and the beautiful outdoor activities that Utah is known for.
