The posted compensation range of $66.98 - $77.62 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Summary:

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus offered for qualified new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible.

Under general supervision and medical direction, performs clinical laboratory test procedures in a manner that provides accurate, timely, and meaningful results. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

Essential functions include but not limited to:

  • Understands the scope of the clinical lab as it pertains to the performance of the position
  • Orients and trains new employees
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow QC policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates the ability to report accurate test results
  • Demonstrates the ability to problem solve

Job Requirements

Minimum:

  • Current California license as a Medical Technologist or specialist Clinical Laboratory Scientist
  • BS/BA in chemical, physical, biological laboratory science
  • Continuing education requirements must be maintained

Preferred:

  • One year of experience as a technologist in a clinical laboratory is preferred
