The posted compensation range of $29.19 - $39.29 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Engineer, you will provide critical technical expertise and innovative solutions, driving the design, development, and optimization of our systems and processes.

Every day you will expertly analyze complex problems, develop practical designs, conduct rigorous testing, and meticulously implement solutions, contributing essential insights and technical contributions to our projects.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding analytical skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, and a meticulous, results-oriented demeanor, contributing to groundbreaking advancements and sustained operational excellence.

  • Inspects facility building and structures and all associated support equipment following department policy, procedures and safety standards to insure that facility and associated support equipment is operating correctly per manufacturer and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains medical gases distribution system. Effects repairs in compliance with codes and regulations. Ensures records are maintained in compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for operation and maintenance of steam generating equipment and distribution systems. Accurately and consistently follows codes and procedures when operating and maintaining steam-generating equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repairs specialized medical, facility equipment and all associates support equipment. Estimates the scope of each job and requests needed materials. Performs minor facility repairs such as patching walls, painting, fixing wallpaper, minor plumbing repairs, door locks and closures.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrically operated beds and other medical equipment as deemed necessary, following department policy and procedures. Performs electrical repair. Checks air handlers. Insures air handlers are reset properly and fire alarms are cleared.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance on heating and air conditions systems and all supporting equipment.

Job Requirements

Performs a variety of skilled work in the repair, maintenance and inspection of patient rooms, clinical suites, medical offices and a wide variety of associated medical and facility equipment used in patient care.

Required:

  • Two (2) years of responsible skilled level maintenance experience in one of the building maintenance trades such as carpentry, painting, plumbing or electrical repair and maintenance and
  • Driver's License: CA, upon hire
  • Ability to work any and all assigned shifts as required
  • Will be required to take call
  • Computer literate
  • Forklift certification

Preferred:

  • High School Graduate General Studies, or GED
  • Completion of two(2) year mechanical EngineeringTechnology Program, upon hire
