The posted compensation range of $20.86 - $29.46 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant is responsible to assist the President in performing a variety of secretarial, administrative and executive tasks. Also performs secretarial duties for the Executive Team, Department Directors, and Supervisors as requested. Transcribes minutes and drafts correspondence as requested. Functions as liaison between Administration, staff and Board members. Prepares information and materials for Board of Director meetings. He/she is responsible for all physician credentialing functions of the Medical Staff. The Executive Assistant is responsible for maintaining all physician/provider records and answering inquiries. He/she is responsible for contract management and requests as needed. He/she is responsible for coding and submission of expense reports, invoices and time and attendance edits. He/she is responsible for all other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsibility to CEO, CNO, Administration and other departments
  • Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, respond to inquiries via phone and typed correspondence
  • Book travel arrangements including air, hotel, and car; schedule conference registrations; process expense reports
  • Open and distribute mail  to the appropriate team members and locations
  • Assist with organization wide communications including memos and announcements
  • Organize hospital events, celebrations, recognition, and new employee recognition programs
  • Create meeting agendas, assemble and distribute meeting materials, handle meeting logistics and complete meeting minutes with distribution to appropriate entities
  • Work directly with med staff and President to ensure accurate payments and time card edits
  • Coordinate interview schedules and socials for med staff candidates
  • Coordinate and maintain hospital contracts utilizing approved Commonspirit processes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work with credentialing and enrollment departments to assure all information is processed accurately and timely
