The posted compensation range of $121.93 - $170.71 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

The System Vice President of Ambulatory Surgery Operations provides executive-level operational, financial, and strategic leadership for a portfolio of CommonSpirit Health ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) across a defined region. This role is accountable for performance excellence, physician and partner engagement, revenue growth,
regulatory compliance, and alignment with CommonSpirit Health's broader system strategies for outpatient care.  This role works closely with ASC administrators, market leaders, physician partners, and system executives to ensure the ASC portfolio operates efficiently, delivers exceptional clinical outcomes, and drives growth through
de novos, acquisitions, partnerships, and service line expansion.  Reports to System Senior Vice President, Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Leads ASC Administrators, Regional
Directors, and operational staff. Partners with Market Presidents, Strategy & Growth, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and Physician Enterprise leadership.

  • Provide direct oversight and accountability for daily operations across a portfolio of ASCs, ensuring consistent performance, efficiency, and adherence to CommonSpirit policies.
  • Drive operational standardization, including supply chain optimization, staffing models, governance, and quality processes.
  • Monitor and interpret operational dashboards, KPIs, and clinical metrics to ensure Centers meet and exceed benchmarks.
  • Own financial performance for assigned ASCs, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, revenue cycle oversight, and cost-containment initiatives.
  • Partner with finance and strategy teams to evaluate expansion opportunities, assess market demand, and support capital planning.
  • Lead business development efforts to grow case volumes, physician participation, and service line offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, anesthesia groups, joint-venture partners (3rd party management companies), and key referral sources.
  • Ensure positive physician experience and physician alignment with operational and strategic goals.
  • Serve as the ASC operational executive for facility governance boards, partner relations, and performance reporting.
  • Support ASC expansion strategies, including de novo development, acquisitions, and conversion of hospital outpatient departments (HOPDs).
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and service line gaps aligned with CommonSpirit’s ambulatory priorities.

Job Requirements

Education

Masters Degree Required - MBA/MHA

Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in the discipline and 7 years of increasing leadership experience in ambulatory surgery, outpatient operations, or multisite healthcare
management.
