The posted compensation range of $27.39 - $34.23 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a GI Technician, you will provide critical support and direct assistance during gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring a sterile, safe, and efficient environment for patient care.

Every day you will expertly prepare procedure rooms, assist physicians with equipment handling and maintenance, monitor patient comfort, and meticulously clean and sterilize instruments to uphold the highest standards of infection control.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a vigilant, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to successful diagnostic and therapeutic GI interventions.

  • Department Support: Cleans and restocks assigned areas. Orders supplies for GI Lab in a timely and cost-effective manner. Takes initiative to assist co-workers in completing workload and improving work environment. Completes additional projects as assigned by super-visor. Actively participates in unit committees/task forces. Attends 80% of the staff meetings and all mandatory meetings. Demonstrates flexibility with scheduling as evidenced by working extra hours in times of increased workload and/or illness or absence of co-worker. Takes call if required.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensures that supplies and equipment are available during procedures. Cleans and sterilizes endoscopic equipment according to policy and procedure. Processes specimens according to policy and procedure. Supplies, needles, and instruments are appropriately discarded, sent to CSR for reprocessing, or put in proper storage area at end of procedure. Assists in cleaning of endoscopy suite within 10 minutes of completion of procedure. Initiates work orders for repair of equipment.
  • General Knowledge: Able to assist with 90% of all GI procedures within six (6) months of hire date.
  • Compliance with Policy and Procedures: Complies with safety, infection control, CHW Integrity Program, and other organizational policies. (90 day evals - department specific orientation checklists completed; annual evals - annual competency checklists completed) Complies with the organization's dress code. Arrives at work on time, as defined by the Timeliness and Attendance Policy. Attends work consistently, as defined by the Timeliness and Attendance Policy.
  • Other Staff Responsibilities: Actively supports the organizations mission, philosophy and strategic plan. Demonstrates good time management and priority setting.

  • Experience in the field ofGastroenterology. and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
