The posted compensation range of $24.15 - $34.12 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Cardiovascular Data Analyst Assistant is responsible for the performance of all data entry assignments in order to maintain the data base for the American College of Cardiology. Responsible for Cardiac Services procedure information with the intention of rendering reports to improve quality outcomes. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

  • Is a role model for the hospital's Customer Satisfaction effort, i.e. demonstrates AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates and colleagues.
  • Coordinates the collection of statistical data for the Cardiac Cath Lab Diagnostic & Interventional procedures from data worksheet for entry into the Cardiac Research database (Apollo).
  • Accurately prepares data for entry, utilizing proper verification procedures for data input. Accurately performs data entry procedure for Cardiac Cath Lab procedures.
  • Ensures data completeness for mandatory core data element fields for mandatory reporting to the American College of Cardiology.
  • Retrieves missing data components by utilizing proper resources (Witt Hemodynamic system, HBOC Clinical, & Cath Lab patient chart) for data input into database.
  • Creates and maintains data worksheets for Collection of Core data elements to fulfill regulatory Agencies such as American College of Cardiology.

Job Requirements
  • Clinical background from patient care areas is preferred.
  • Ability to utilize/operate microcomputer and mainframe computer equipment and programs; Knowledge of the HBOC Clinical & Financial system; Knowledge of Cardiac Cath Lab functionality and procedures is required. 

  • Microsoft Office expertise, with emphasis on Access database, is desirable
