The posted compensation range of $37.14 - $56.37 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

St. Elizabeth Hospital in charming Enumclaw, WA, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to join our incredible Radiology team! As a Rad Tech, you will Perform radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures in various locations including (but not limited to) clinics, emergency room, special procedures room, surgery, or patient rooms, to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Work is accomplished by operating the radiographic equipment to produce radiographic recorded images of the body. Performs technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care utilizing efficient and safe processes that are in keeping with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements.  An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe, efficient and proper operation of radiological equipment. Work is performed under the direct safety regulation/license departmental standards and protocols.


Incumbents are also accountable for; keeping abreast of FHS standards, protocols and procedures relating to the department; keeping skills current; demonstrating evidence of continuing education to include department meetings, individualized learning opportunities from radiologist and related classes.

Essential Functions: 

Prepares/operates radiology equipment for the correct size, depth and detail of a requested exposure area, based on physicians’ orders and in adherence to department protocols.

Explains procedures to patients and responds to questions.

Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to comfort and protect the patient, self and others from unnecessary radiation.

Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to ensure that results are consistent.

Cleans equipment after each use.

Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing radiological exams/procedures and/or special procedures.

Acts as a liaison between the patient and the radiologist; comforts and protects the patient, self and others from unnecessary radiation.

Regularly performs basic functions in regard to patient care.

Responds to emergency situations consistent with scope of authority.

Maintains accurate patient records by documenting the patient chart with pertinent information.

Advises nursing staff of any significant change in patient’s condition while in Diagnostic Imaging.

Performs incidental general office duties to include; answering phone; scheduling; filing; maintaining patient records; ordering supplies.

Participates in the ordering and inventorying of equipment and supplies.

Participates in the training of the Radiological Technology student.

Offers instruction to assist student in broadening knowledge of the profession.

Cultural Sensitivity and Competence:  Demonstrates proper use of communication tools/materials for effective communication and understands how the culture(s) of patient populations can affect communication, collaboration and the provision of care, treatment and services.  Patient Population Served:  Demonstrates knowledge and proper skills associated with the department’s defined specific populations served.


Job Requirements

Required Education & Experience: 

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology
  • One year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities -  required.
  • Work experience involving the current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department - preferred 

Required Licensure & Certifications: 

  • Medical Radiographer: WA (MRAD:WA)
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) through the American Heart Association
