The posted compensation range of $18.96 - $26.78 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Location: Valley View Clinic - Council Bluffs, IA

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday (Off Thursday) 7a-5p

That's why we're on the hunt for a fantastic Certified Medical Assistant / Medical Assistant (NOT Med Aide / CNA) who's not only incredibly skilled and professional!

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be the welcoming face that greets our patients, taking their vitals with a gentle hand and a reassuring demeanor. You'll be a master of medical histories, ensuring every detail is captured accurately and efficiently.
  • You're a wizard with electronic health records (EHR), ensuring every patient interaction is meticulously documented, leaving no stone unturned (or chart entry incomplete!).
  • You'll be a key liaison between patients and providers, expertly answering questions, providing clear instructions, and ensuring everyone feels heard and understood.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
  • Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
