The posted compensation range of $32.38 - $48.17 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As the Contract Specialist I, you will play a crucial administrative role in managing contracts for healthcare providers and facilities. This position involves comprehensive support throughout the contract lifecycle, from preparation to ongoing maintenance.

Key responsibilities include meticulously preparing, entering, and maintaining all provider contract information within various systems and hardcopy files, ensuring easy access for Dignity Health MSO staff. A vital part of the role is negotiating contract language and rates with providers. The specialist also serves as a crucial resource, offering expertise on contract interpretation and modification to both internal departments and external organizations.

Beyond contract-specific duties, the role involves general office work, such as clerical tasks, drafting correspondence, and organizing meetings, including creating agendas and minutes. The specialist is also responsible for securing one-case agreements with non-contracted providers when needed and ensuring necessary supplies and equipment are available for efficient workflow. Additionally, they provide support to designated management staff and assist with special projects as assigned. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

***This position is remote within California, with a preference for the candidate to reside in Central or Southern CA.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


- 5+ years experience working in a high level administrative support position.
- 1+ years working in a medical group, health plan, hospital or other related healthcare organization.
- High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:


- Experience in contracting, provider relations, and claims processing strongly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
