The posted compensation range of $60.24 - $89.60 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Region Manager Clinical Education has a dual focus, with responsibility for overseeing and evaluating the daily operations of the Pacific Northwest Region clinical education department and the RN residency program. An incumbent leads the Education Steering Committee to ensure that current and future organizational needs are adequately addressed, business objectives represented and decisions regarding program development/process changes are viable for the PNW Region culture/environment. An incumbent ensures the relevance, quality, accuracy and educational effectiveness of clinical training and RN Residency programs, the adequacy of results attained and conformance to CommonSpirit Health (CSH) learning objectives.

Work also includes: 1) supervising/evaluation professional staff engaged in regulatory and specialty clinical education/training delivery and RN residency program development/administration; 2) participating in departmental planning, daily operations and budget development/administration in alignment with PNW Region strategic goals, values, mission and business plan; 3) keeping abreast of changing organization needs and priorities, and identifying quality improvement initiatives to enhance/streamline current programs/procedures and facilitate quality training delivery to assure a safe environment of care; 4) producing reports to PNW Region leadership relating to program outcomes and management of available resources and 5) collaborates with the PNW Region RN Residency Site Coordinator staff to identify/provide educators to match respective residency requirements.

Work requires strong clinical nursing expertise and understanding of the training needs of the nursing discipline sufficient to oversee/evaluate the development/delivery of relevant clinically-oriented education programs and to gain consensus for new/changing initiatives/systems/programs. An incumbent provides authoritative advice and guidance on the application of adult education concepts, principles and standards to education/training activities, and has knowledge of organizational objectives/functions and regulatory requirements sufficient to analyze education strategies, ensure legal compliance of assigned responsibilities and modify/adapt conventional training techniques to solve a variety of education challenges.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field and five years of related work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities, including two years in a supervisory/management capacity.
  • Master's degree in Nurse Education, Healthcare Administration or related field may be substituted for one year of the supervisory/management experience requirement.
  • Active Washington State Registered Nurse License

Preferred:

  • Nursing Professional Development Certification
