The posted compensation range of $49.78 - $74.05 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

The incumbent supervises, develops, orients, and assures competency of the Respiratory Care personnel

  • Demonstrates competency in patient care in order to teach and certify staff members in mechanical ventilation, and advanced respiratory care practices, and modalities including Adaptive Support Ventilation (ASV), Airway Pressure Release Ventilation (APRV) pressure control and inverse IE ratio ventilation, nitric oxide delivery, ventilation, patient assessment skills, and Respiratory Care by Protocols for Trauma, Intensive Care, Transport, CSICU, Special Procedures, Pediatrics, and general floor therapy.
  • Directs and provides reporting to the hospital and cardiopulmonary staff regarding quality control procedures, and serves as a QA consultant to other departments when indicated.
  • Provides statistical and financial reports to the cardiopulmonary director when called upon to do so and assists in developing the budget for the department
  • The supervisor is expected to serve as a clinical liaison between the cardiopulmonary department and hospital physicians, nurses, and other acute care staff
  • The clinical supervisor will oversee the architecture and detail of all clinical related cardiopulmonary department policies and procedures and oversees the electronic medical records project
  • This position also acts as a system administrator for non-invasive cardiology, EKG, and EEG departments

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy or Computer related Field
  • 2 - 3 years of experience 
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner: CA (RESP-LIC:CA)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
