The posted compensation range of $18.06 - $25.51 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you a meticulous, customer-focused individual seeking a crucial role in patient diagnostics? Join our essential laboratory team as a Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist!

You'll be at the heart of our operations, primarily in specimen processing and intake, ensuring the swift and accurate handling of vital samples to support patient care.

You will:

  • Specimen Management: Process, organize, and quickly move samples for testing; handle all lab send-out testing including packaging.
  • Patient Focus: Practice positive patient identification; demonstrate HumanKindness and good communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Take responsibility for workflow and foster collaboration.
  • Phlebotomy (if applicable): Perform venous and capillary punctures on all age groups, following collection procedures. May assist with training.
  • Testing (if regulated): Perform CLIA waived and moderately complex testing, evaluating results under direction.
  • Operational Support: Perform routine maintenance, monitor inventory, stock supplies, and manage records.

Shift: Mon - Thu 9am - 5:30pm; Sat 7am - 3:30pm

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: Precision in sample handling and data.
  • Excellent Customer Service: Clear and kind communication.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • BLS-CPR within 90 days.
  • Preferred: Lab Assistant/Phlebotomy certification, 6 months acute care experience.
