The posted compensation range of $65.94 - $98.09 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Are you a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist committed to optimizing patient outcomes? Join our collaborative, fast-paced environment!

You'll deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services, making a direct patient impact, collaborating across disciplines, and guiding future pharmacy professionals.

You will:

  • Clinical Documentation: Document activities and interventions (consults, patient teachings).
  • Order Verification & Dispensing: Interpret, verify, enter, label, and dispense medications accurately and timely.
  • Quality Assurance: Rigorously verify/check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel.
  • Expert Drug Information: Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve drug-related problems by consulting with healthcare providers; clarify orders and assist in drug selection/therapeutic regimens.
  • Clinical Services: Provide basic clinical services for all age groups as required by policy.
  • System & Team Management: Maintain knowledge of automated systems; provide direction/guidance to technicians.
  • Education & Mentorship: Participate in training/mentoring pharmacy students, interns, technicians, residents, and other professionals. (May serve as Residency Program Director/Coordinator.)
  • Compliance & Ongoing Education: Adhere to regulatory requirements; complete mandatory system/department education.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide comprehensive patient counseling and drug information.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Profound Pharmaceutical Knowledge: Strong grasp of pharmacy services, practice concepts, laws, and regulations.
  • Exceptional Clinical Judgment: Ability to assess complex medication profiles and make critical decisions.
  • Superior Communication & Leadership: Effectively consult, teach, and collaborate; guide and mentor.
  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Required Licensure & Certifications: Oregon Pharmacist License, BLS-CPR.
  • Preferred: ACLS.

CHI St. Anthony Hospital is a 25 bed, licensed for 49, faith-based, acute care, level four trauma, critical access hospital and healthcare campus serving the Pendleton, Oregon area for more than 100 years. The 103,000 square foot hospital features 4 operations rooms, 11 emergency rooms, 30 private patient rooms, and the latest medical equipment.
