The posted compensation range of $16.66 - $22.91 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic billing team as a Financial Intake Coordinator IIwhich is a mid-level position responsible for working with multiple payer sources and when called upon, can provide coverage across the different payers. Other responsibilities include:

  • Manages the authorization process and provides support for multiple payers
  • Answers phones and routes calls appropriately
  • Answers insurance questions in a timely manner for home health staff via email and phone
  • Communicates effectively and courteously with referral sources, patients, their family members and staff
  • Consults with management on areas of concerns or outside of authority level
  • Demonstrates commitment to personal and professional growth and development by participating in orientation, in-services, agency meetings and educational opportunities
  • Contributes to the efficient operation of the department through daily processes, and as directed by leadership
  • Trains new employees

Job Requirements
  • Candidates must reside in one of the approved remote worker states:  AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, NC, ND, NE, NJ, OH, SC, TN, TX, UT, WI.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Internal candidates: Progressive, relevant experience in reimbursement qualifications and authorizations, independently and proficiently supporting multiple payers for at least 90 days at CS HAH
  • External candidates: 1 year experience in reimbursement qualifications and authorizations, preferably in a Home Health or Hospice setting, working with both commercial and government payers.
  • Ability to perform accurate account reconciliations
  • Strong communication skills
