The posted compensation range of $85,904 - $115,627 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Echo Tech, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.

Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.

To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
  • Performs diagnostic Cardiovascular procedures based upon the physician's written request under the direction of the Medical Director of the Department.
  • Provides Cardiovascular diagnostic services to the elderly, with sensitivity to their physical and emotional condition. Is sensitive to the emotional status of the patient's family or friends.
  • Performs clerical and other duties as necessary, efficiently and effectively. Maintains records/ reports of procedures performed in the department. Carries out assigned projects in a timely manner. Effectively utilizes computer information system.
  • Maintains assigned area and equipment. Is competent in the operation of all equipment used in the Department. Promptly initiates corrective action when encountering equipment problems.
  • Basic expectations of the Employee based upon Corporate HIPAA Compliance: Patient Privacy: Demonstrates work place practices that maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Consistently follows regulatory, JCAHO, Dignity Health, and Hospital policy requirements relating to the disclosure of and/or access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and sensitive information. Review Network Usage Policy and signed acknowledgement form annually. Patient Information Security: Demonstrates work place practices that maintain the security of protected health information including maintaining PHI in a secure work environment, reporting suspected breaches of PHI security to Management or Privacy Officer, and following all policies and regulatory requirements for the safeguarding of PHI.
  • Ensures optimum operation of the department through good attendance history and flexibility with assigned shift. Is on time for scheduled shift.

Job Requirements
Required
  • Have at least one (1) year experience in non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic procedures. and
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred
  • Experience in Stress testing. and
  • Experience in Holter monitoring. and
  • Experience in records management for procedures and patient files.
