The posted compensation range of $34.00 - $50.58 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Senior Decision Support Analyst, you will provide critical analytical expertise and strategic insights, transforming complex data into actionable intelligence to guide high-level organizational decision-making.

Every day you will expertly collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets, develop sophisticated financial and operational models, generate comprehensive reports, and meticulously present findings to senior leadership, supporting strategic planning and performance optimization.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding analytical capabilities, strong financial acumen, and a meticulous, inquisitive demeanor, contributing significantly to data-driven strategies and sustainable organizational growth.

  • Serve as the Finance Department point person for assigned service line management teams. The Senior Analyst will be assigned to work with the larger, more complex service line teams. Functions and analyze monthly service line financial performanceb.Provide ad‐hoc reporting and in‐depth financial analysis to support the needs and requests of the hospital Service Line Directors and CFOs, using the EPSi decision support system and other toolsc.Research trends and variances, and identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the financial performance of the service lines.d.Make
  • recommendations to Senior Management for action to improve such vulnerabilities and follow through on
  • implementation of recommendations
  • Maintain the Health System’s cost accounting system (EPSi). The Senior Analyst will be assigned to work with the larger, more complex hospitals and departments. Tasks include:a.Work with department managers to develop and review the accuracy of Relative Value Units (RVUs), thus ensuring the appropriate allocation of department costs to services provided, and accurate assignment of costs to patient accountsb.Perform monthly mapping of department charge codes to the appropriate statistic accountsc.Perform the monthly reconciliation of data in EPSi to the source systems (Payroll and General Ledger) and perform the processing steps within EPSi to allocate costs to department products and patient accounts. d.Create monthly department flexible budgets to monitor actual department financial and staffing results compared to volume adjusted expectations.e.Monitor department costs and assist department managers interpret their financial results
  • Assist in the annual operating budget process. The Senior Analyst will be assigned to be the lead representative from Finance in the budget process for the larger, more complex entities in the Health System.a.Serve as the Finance department main contact for assigned hospitals and facilitiesb.Assist hospital executive teams develop volume assumptions used in the budget processc.Provide system training to department managers and assist in data input and
  • reporting d.Provide year‐round support to assigned facilities in interpreting financial results and analyzing variances

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Other Accounting, Finance or related field and *Four (4) years of experience in financial analysis oraccounting, preferably in a hospital setting), upon hire and
  • *Experience with a hospital decision support system (such asEPSi) and

Preferred

  • Masters Other Business Administration or Health Administration , upon hire
  • Certified Public Accountant: TX, upon hire
