The posted compensation range of $38.76 - $54.26 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities

Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic III to join our dynamic team!   • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on a variety of equipment, including HVAC units, production machinery, conveying systems, plumbing, light fixtures, forklifts, generators, boilers, and chillers. 
  • Work with single and three-phase electrical systems, motor controls (VFDs, PLCs), wiring, and low-voltage controls. Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures safely and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and equipment history in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements, energy efficiency, and operational enhancements. Propose and implement solutions to optimize performance.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced mechanics, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Does wall patching, plaster, painting, floor repairs, drain cleaning, minor plumbing, bed and furniture repairs, fax repairs,
    light bulb and ballast replacement, door repairs, and other building maintenance tasks as needed or assigned.

Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience working with central plants, boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, flue gas recover units, or 2 years of experience working on centrifugal or reciprocating chillers, or 5 years of experience in an Industrial or Commercial setting performing related duties
  • Stationary 500HP Steam Engineer License Preferred
  • Refrigeration Service Engineers (RSES) License Preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical principles and theory, electronics, and the ability to read electronic and electrical schematics

This position is represented by CHEU and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
