The posted compensation range of $16.26 - $22.97 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
Under general supervision, schedules appointments for patients, medical procedures, tests and studies ordered
by the physician.
Essential Functions
-Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments.
-Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
-Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments.
-Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests
-Collect insurance information and patient personal data.
-May collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Courses in and/or knowledge of medical terminolgy and surgery procedures.
Required Experience:
- Previous surgery scheduling experience
- Must have computer and applications software experience
