The posted compensation range of $27.97 - $41.60 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Part Time

Provides clinical social work services to Oncology patients/families/staff in the CHI Memorial Hospital system. The scope of practice includes biopsychosocial assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders, psychotherapy, crisis management, end of life care, mental health consultation and meeting the holistic needs of the patient with cancer.

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


1. He/She provides psychotherapy to patients and families and conducts support groups as a licensed independent practitioner.
2. He/She facilitates referrals to inpatient, outpatient or other community psychiatric services as needed.
3. He/She provides coordination and delivery of psychosocial services to patients and families throughout the cancer continuum, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, end of life and bereavement.
4. He/She provides psychosocial services designed to foster coping, support optimal functioning and maximize the patient’s utilization of available resources.
5. The Clinical Social Worker LCSW serves as an integral part of the Support Services Team, linking the patient with resources necessary to meet complex needs related to cancer care.
6. The Clinical Social Worker LCSW assists patients and their families in accessing financial, pharmaceutical and transportation assistance programs.
7. The Clinical Social Worker LCSW collaborates with the Support Services Team in expanding holistic services, including integrative approaches to cancer care.
8. The Clinical Social Worker LCSW participates in Tumor Conferences and advocates for patient needs.
9. He/She also participates in program development, implementation and promotional activities within CHI Memorial Cancer Services in a variety of settings.
10. The Clinical Social Worker LCSW will provide a bridge from inpatient to outpatient care when needed and will connect patients and families with community, government and national resources specific to cancer.

11. The Clinical Social Worker LCSW provides supervision to BSW and MSW level interns from area University Social Work programs.
12. The Clinical Social Worker LCSW will apply for NPI and insurance panel credentialing for billing if/or as needed/requested by Cancer Program/Hospital Administration.
13. Other duties as assigned by management.


Job Requirements

Master’s degree from a graduate program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Holds a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Tennessee. Willing to apply for Georgia LCSW license if needed.

Minimum of two years social work experience at the Master’s level.
Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in clinical social work practice.
Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the delivery of psychosocial services and assistance programs.
