Responsibilities

CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking a strategic Market Director of Human Resources to lead and shape the HR function in Bismarck, ND! This role contributes directly to our organization's success and employee well-being by aligning HR strategy with business objectives.

As a key member of the operational leadership team, you'll be an advisor to executive leadership on all HR matters, driving organizational goals and fostering a positive work environment.

Coaching & Developing: Empower leaders and their teams to reach their full potential by providing insightful advice, constructive feedback, and targeted development opportunities. You'll be a catalyst for growth, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through direct and honest communication.

Employment & Labor Law: Safeguard the interests of our organization, leaders, and employees by leveraging your deep understanding of legal precedents, policies, and best practices. You'll stay ahead of the curve on evolving State and Federal laws, proactively mitigating risk and ensuring compliance, with the support of our dedicated legal partners.

Business Acumen: Translate financial and operational complexities into actionable insights, becoming a trusted strategic partner to the business. You'll leverage data analytics to drive evidence-based decision-making, contributing directly to the financial health and operational efficiency of our market.

Flexibility & Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment by embracing change and adapting to the evolving needs of the regulatory landscape, our organization, and the business. Your ability to navigate complexity and remain agile will be critical to our continued success.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 7 years HR or leadership experience OR minimum of 10 years HR or leadership experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree (With relevant experience; equivalent education and/or experience; experience through certifications.) 
  • HR experience should encompass generalist experience or at least 2 or more areas of specialty, e.g., compensation, benefits, employee/labor relations, talent acquisition, etc. 
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Demonstrated employee relations experience with a working knowledge of recruitment, training delivery, benefits and compensation theory/administration.
