What You'll Do:

As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR services to the assigned hospital or business unit(s). You will be a trusted advisor to leaders, managers, and staff, providing guidance and support in areas such as:

  • Employee Relations: Investigating and resolving employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing guidance on corrective actions.
  • Performance Management: Supporting the performance management process, providing coaching and training to managers, and ensuring fair and consistent application of performance standards.
  • Grievance Resolution: Facilitating the resolution of employee grievances, ensuring a fair and impartial process.
  • Reasonable Accommodation: Managing the reasonable accommodation process, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Change Management: Supporting the implementation of change management initiatives.
  • [If assigned to Union Facility]: Managing collective bargaining agreements and maintaining positive relationships with labor unions.
  • [If assigned to Non-Union Facility]: Educating leaders on union avoidance and cultivating a positive workplace.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or other discipline related to the duties of the position.
  • Experience: Four (4) years of related experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.
  • Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of the content, intent and application of FHS regulations, policies, standards, operations, and requirements applicable to the matters under designated scope of authority.
    • Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws affecting all areas of Human Resources.
    • Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards, resources and tools applicable to multiple HR disciplines.
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively in verbal and written communications, and in group meetings/presentations.
    • Ability to work well as part of a team under both time and deadline constraints.
    • Ability to independently prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines with complete, accurate information and complete analysis of issues.
    • Ability to advocate for effective approaches to the management of people and act as a consultant to other managers.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with others to identify and solve problems.
    • Ability to work tactfully, courteously, and effectively with difficult situations and/or people.
    • Ability to abstract pertinent information and to reach sound conclusions from a variety of data.
    • Ability to identify and address issues in a proactive, rather than reactive, style.
    • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Ability to read, understand and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
    • Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level of proficiency.
    • Ability to keep abreast of new trends, developments and legal requirements affecting the area of responsibility.
  • Licensure/Certification: Certification through a professional Human Resources organization is preferred (e.g. PHR, SPHR).
