CHI Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll work closely under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide hands-on care that supports recovery, function, and well-being.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in implementing care plans and treatments designed by a licensed physical therapist.

  • Work directly with patients to improve strength, mobility, and independence.

  • Contribute to a collaborative care team focused on achieving measurable goals.

  • Ensure compliance with all documentation, billing, and regulatory requirements.

  • Supervise physical therapy techs in accordance with applicable guidelines.

  • Stay informed and educated on the latest best practices in physical therapy.

  • Participate in program quality improvement initiatives and student mentorship (as assigned).

  • Maintain all mandatory education and certifications related to safety, quality, and infection control.

What You Bring

  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Licensure: Active PTA license in Nebraska, Iowa, or through the PT Compact.

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire.

  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, professionalism, organization, and a strong focus on patient safety and evidence-based practice.

  • Preferred: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus.
