What You'll Do as Our Night Shift Sonographer:

As a key member of our night team, you will:

  • Perform a comprehensive range of high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various body parts and patient conditions, often in critical or urgent scenarios.
  • Operate advanced ultrasound equipment proficiently, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate interpretation.
  • Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
  • Collaborate effectively with emergency physicians, radiologists, and other clinical staff to provide timely and precise diagnostic information.
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records, documenting findings and adhering to all departmental protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Respond calmly and efficiently to unexpected situations and emergent studies.
  • Assume responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment during your shift.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

Associates degree from an accredited training program in General diagnostic sonography, and recent completion of a twelve-month internship in diagnostic ultrasound (with at least six months in General ultrasound) or equivalent recent directly-related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.

Licensure/Certification

  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); or 
  • Certification in Sonography by the American Association of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)..
  • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
