The posted compensation range of $35.25 - $52.83 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Radiologic Technologist, you’ll perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and understanding throughout each exam. You’ll operate advanced radiographic equipment, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members. Your commitment to safety, accuracy, and compassionate care will be key to delivering excellent imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic procedures following physician orders and department protocols
  • Prepare and operate radiologic equipment safely and efficiently
  • Provide clear explanations to patients and ensure comfort during exams
  • Protect patients, yourself, and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
  • Produce consistent, high-quality images for accurate diagnosis
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and function
  • Document patient information accurately and notify nursing staff of notable changes
  • Serve as a liaison between the patient and radiologist
  • Assist with general office tasks such as phones, scheduling, and supply management
  • Support the education and training of Rad Tech students
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity while caring for diverse patient populations

Job Requirements

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology.
  • One year of recent related work experience (may be obtained through practical education/training).
  • Work experience involving the current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department is preferred.
  • Knowledge of radiological examination concepts, standards, procedures, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to x-ray examinations and equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to document work activities accurately and timely.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • Current Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
