The posted compensation range of $48.32 - $83.29 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you a dynamic and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse with a passion for teaching, mentorship, and professional development? Do you thrive on shaping the future of emergency nursing care? Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is seeking a highly skilled Regional Educator RN to lead the development and delivery of comprehensive nursing and clinical education programs specifically for our Emergency Departments across the region.

This pivotal role supports both foundational and advanced practice, ensuring our clinical teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide exceptional, high-quality care.

EVERY DAY, YOU WILL:

Lead Education Program Development: Spearhead the planning, design, and continuous evaluation of diverse educational initiatives, orientations, and trainings tailored for Emergency Department clinical staff.
Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with ED leadership and regional teams to enhance patient care quality, cost-effectiveness, and staff competency through strategic educational support aligned with organizational goals.
Needs Analysis & Program Design: Conduct thorough needs analyses to identify immediate and future education requirements, developing and implementing targeted education/training programs that comply with city, county, state, federal, and The Joint Commission guidelines.
Curriculum Development: Create, write, update, and/or modify written and multimedia education modules, programs, curriculum, course outlines, and lesson plans, ensuring consistency with overall course objectives and participant needs.
Inclusive Education: Incorporate delivery of care and clinical techniques appropriately to address special population needs within educational offerings, ensuring comprehensive training.
Instructional Delivery & Evaluation: Conduct engaging and effective education/training programs, including classroom training, and rigorously evaluate their effectiveness to ensure identified learning needs are met and programs remain current and impactful.
Compliance Integration: Ensure that all implemented programs are in strict accordance with city, county, state, federal, and The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements where applicable.
Professional Growth: Champion professional growth, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence within our Emergency Departments.


TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL DEMONSTRATE:

Expert Clinical Knowledge: Deep expertise in Emergency Department patient care standards, practices, and advanced clinical techniques.

Instructional Design & Delivery: Strong skills in instructional design and the ability to deliver engaging and effective educational content to adult learners.

Adult Learning Principles: Comprehensive understanding and application of adult learning theories and methodologies.

Exceptional Communication: Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information.

Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, leadership, and staff at all levels to achieve educational objectives.

Critical Thinking & Analysis: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess educational needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and align strategies with organizational priorities.

Organizational Alignment: Ability to ensure all educational strategies and programs are consistent with organizational goals, policies, and vision.


Job Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing and three years of RN nursing work experience in the Emergency Department that demonstrates the attainment of the requisite job knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Active Washington State Registered Nurse License
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
