Responsibilities

Position Summary:


The Director of Business Systems, reporting directly to the Regional Director of Business Sys Config, assumes a pivotal role in assisting the Regional Director of Business Sys Config with strategic leadership and oversight to the Business Systems Configuration (BSC) Department within their designated teams. Tasked with guiding and directing the business systems teams, this role is instrumental in ensuring the effective configuration and maintenance of the athena IDX system for critical functions such as scheduling, billing, and managed care Claims processing, alongside providing support for interfaces and third-party applications.
The Director of Business Systems ensures BSC leadership is updated on project status, the status of productivity goals and the general team morale. By driving continuous improvement initiatives, fostering collaboration, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards, the Director of Business Systems actively contributes to the organization's success. Key responsibilities include daily oversight and effective management of the BSC designated teams and ensuring collaborative engagement with key stakeholders and customers.
This position is designed to uphold the organization's long-term vision, and cultivation of an environment that embraces ongoing enhancement in business processes and service delivery. The Director of Business Systems role will be vital in upholding a culture of accountability aligned with the mission of Dignity Health Medical Foundation and its clients.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in revenue cycle or business systems management in a healthcare or related industry
- Extensive knowledge & experience in Revenue Cycle operations and large scale receivables management.
- Demonstrated successful managerial experience in managing large business office.
- Direct involvement with Revenue Cycle process improvement or technology implementation projects experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare or related discipline preferred OR equivalent of education and experience required.
- Knowledge of Project Management.

Preferred Qualifications:


- 10 years of Ambulatory Billing/Operations experience within a large health system with at least 6 of those years in a management capacity preferred.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
