The posted compensation range of $37.22 - $55.37 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities

Are you a highly skilled, meticulous Medical Laboratory Scientist with a passion for precision diagnostics? Join our vital laboratory team!

You'll perform extensive clinical laboratory testing, providing accurate, timely results crucial for patient care.

You will:

  • Comprehensive Testing: Perform tests in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunohematology, immunology, and urinalysis.
  • System & Quality Control Mastery: Effectively use LIS; participate in QC evaluation with documented action.
  • Instrument Operations & Maintenance: Operate, perform PMs, and troubleshoot equipment; document all actions.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively participate in continuing education.
  • Specimen Integrity: Responsible for collection and preparation of specimens.
  • Lab Preparedness: Maintain supply stocks and neat work areas.
  • Referral Management: Prepare specimens for outside reference labs when necessary.
  • Phlebotomy (if applicable): Obtain blood samples from all age groups and special needs patients.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Scientific Acumen & Precision: Deep knowledge of lab principles; meticulous attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Commitment to Quality: Dedicated to highest lab standards.
  • Required Education and Experience:
    • Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science Medical Technologist program (BSMT).
  • Required Licensure and Certifications:
    • Certified by ASCP, NCA, AAB, or AMT as a Medical Technologist.
    • Eligible candidates considered if certified within six (6) months of hire.
