  • Flexible Scheduling:Enjoy a balanced work-life integration with just 2 weekend shifts per month (Saturday or Sunday) and 2 holidays per year, plus occasional weekday/summer PTO coverage.

About the Opportunity:

Join CHI Health and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients as a Speech Language Pathologist. You'll be an integral part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, providing expert evaluations, personalized care plans, and direct treatment to both inpatient and outpatient populations. This role offers the opportunity to work with adults and children, addressing a wide range of speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders.

  • Transform Lives:Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and deliver effective treatment to improve patients' communication and swallowing abilities.

  • Champion Quality Care:Ensure accurate and timely documentation and billing, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Drive Program Improvement:Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and enhancement of our speech-language pathology program by staying informed about quality metrics and actively participating in team discussions.
  • Be a Leader in Your Field:Stay at the forefront of evidence-based practice, share your expertise with colleagues, and serve as a valuable resource in the area of speech-language pathology within a medical setting.
  • Shape the Future:Support the academic mission of CHI Health by mentoring and educating student clinicians, contributing to the development of the next generation of speech-language pathologists.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Masters in Speech Language

Required Licensure and Certifications

SLP:NE;

BLS-CPR;

CCC-SLP 

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

If working in a unit located in or traveling to Iowa, or a Behavioral Health/Psych unit: Mandatory Reporter Adult and Mandatory Reporter Child - within 6 months; tracked through Learning system


High level of competence in both written and verbal communication, conducts self in a professional manner at all times, works well in a team environment, strong knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations and professional standards relating to Speech Language Pathology
