Dignity Health Medical Group – Northridge, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is conveniently located on the Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center campus and offers full service family medicine, hospital medicine, maternity care, sports medicine, and pediatric services to the community. In addition to more than 10 family medicine providers, we are part of one of the few teaching hospitals in the valley, where the Dignity Health Family Medicine Residency at Northridge (affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA) has educated family physicians for more than three decades, many of whom stay to serve this community.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

As the Manager of Clinic Operations at our Dignity Health Medical Group Northridge, you will communicate the organization’s goals to the clinic staff as we constantly seek to improve patient experiences, reach out to our community, and deliver quality care. At the same time, you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to leadership.

Utilizing your excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups, you will tackle tough conversations and, above all, be an educator at heart. Every interaction is an opportunity to share your knowledge with others and improve their understanding of a patient’s needs, the needs of clinic staff, or the needs of the organization.

Success in this role means you:


- Are expected to provide visionary leadership to maximize the effectiveness of all service delivery systems and financial performance
- Engage staff and cultivate a care center culture that prioritizes humankindness and patient-centric care consistent with Dignity Health and the medical group's "way" and culture
- Work closely with staff and providers to ensure that all fiduciary and care center goals are met
- Proactively determine workload priorities through planning coordination and managing staff and providers to meet the clinic’s administrative operational and support requirements
- Are responsible for the safeguard of patient health and financial information


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


- 3 years of healthcare management experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead productive engaged teams and work with providers
- Knowledge of business and management principles, budget control and accounting principles including capital budgeting, cost accounting, professional and patient billing; and ability to apply these principles to a health care environment. Knowledge of, or ability to, learn the budgeting process, management reports, accounting, purchasing and patient billing systems
- Knowledge of computers systems and software including word processing, spreadsheet, database, clinic information systems, electronic medical records, billing systems and other application packages
- Health insurance knowledge of HMO, PPO, and capitated risk plan contracts as they relate to providers and practices

Preferred Qualifications:


- Previous out-patient practice & healthcare management experience preferred
- Previous management experience in a union environment preferred
- Prior managed care or integrated delivery systems experience preferred
- Master's degree in business finance or healthcare administration or related field preferred
