The posted compensation range of $42.77 - $53.76 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Stationary Engineer, you will be a central figure responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our facility's critical mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring continuous functionality for all building occupants. You will play a vital role in maintaining a stable and comfortable environment while optimizing energy and system reliability.

Every day, you will expertly monitor, operate, and troubleshoot complex HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and power generation systems, performing meticulous preventive maintenance and repairs. You will also maintain precise logs, respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, and collaborate with other facilities personnel to ensure all infrastructure operates at peak efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will combine a valid Stationary Engineer license, extensive experience in operating and maintaining large-scale building systems, and a profound understanding of MEP principles. You will demonstrate exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to safety, and thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted facility operations.

  • Inspects equipment for proper operation in accordance with manufacturing standards and operating procedures.
  • Monitors meter temperature and pressure readings daily for proper checking and recording in the Daily Log Sheet. Reports equipment in operation and out of commission.
  • Operates equipment for efficient operations and varying load demands, all within established safety guidelines & operating instructions.
  • Makes necessary adjustment as needed to assure a continuous supply of steam, chilled water, heating water, domestic hot & cold water, medical gasses, compressed air and electrical power.
  • Performs teardown, repair and service of equipment according to schedule or supervisors instructions, may act as leadman during major overhaul or installation projects
  • Perform water Chemistry test on Boiler, Boiler Feed, Condensate return, Softener,Cooling Towers, Building Heating and Chilled in accordance with water treatment procedures provided by a chemical company.

Job Requirements
  • High School Graduate with experience in the operation of Co-generation, Boiler. Emergency Generator,Chillers, Compressors and other auxiliary equipments.
  • 3-5 years recent hospital or building maintenance experience
  • Boiler Operator: CA
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering- Mechanical,Electrical, or any related field prefrred
