The posted compensation range of $26.70 - $39.71 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Manager Clinic Practice Manager II is directly responsible for the day to day operation of at least one business unit with 6-10 physicians. Ensures professional and technical operation of the clinical unit and that all policies and procedures are followed on a day to day basis. Responsible for the overall management of the business unit in accordance with Clinic initiatives; Physician Satisfaction; Co-Worker Satisfaction; Patient Satisfaction; Quality; and Business Performance. The Practice Manager II performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our values, service standards and meeting set performance goals Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and CHI Standards.

Essential Functions:

Patient Experience:

• Direct participation in patient satisfaction surveys.

• Communicates patient satisfaction results with providers and staff in a timely manner and takes action to improve deficient areas.

• Incorporates a patient satisfaction presentation/discussion at regular co-worker meetings.

• Communicates Customer Service Program and other Health System materials to staff in a timely and enthusiastic manner.

• Strives to keep patient satisfaction scores above 90% or per PM I Dashboard.

Co-Worker Engagement:

• Resolves employee problems and conflicts.

• Set a good example for co-workers.

• Provides opportunities for co-worker empowerment.

• Encourages and recognizes employees when they display and or make suggestions.

• Keeps co-workers informed of changing policies, procedures and major decisions affecting them.

• Administers work schedules, performance evaluations, merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions in a timely manner.

• Communicates and provides leadership for the providers and staff to develop as a team.

• Encourages co-workers to act in a manner that exemplifies our Health System and the clinic.

• Strives to keep Coworker satisfaction scores (engagement survey) at PM I Dashboard requirements.

Physician Engagement:

• Keeps physicians informed of changing policies and procedures such as TB Skin Testing, ID photos, open enrollment, changes in retirement plans.

• Creates a positive working environment for physicians.

• Takes an active role in seeking solutions/answers to physicians concerns and/or suggestions.

• Incorporates patient satisfaction at regular physician meetings identifying low scores and suggesting how to improve upon these scores.

• Strives to maintain PM I Dashboard performance requirements to include Meaningful Use attainment.

Overhead Management:

• Demonstrates a reasonable approach towards budget requests, efficiency, cost effectiveness and appropriate use of resources.

• Keeps equipment and facilities in good working order.

• Controls staffing, scheduling, and expenditures in relation to established standards.

• Develops and manages capital and operational clinical unit budgets including monthly variance analysis.

• Strives to maintain PM I Dashboard requirements for Business Performance Measures to include cash collections; staff overtime and total FTEs.

Manager Expectations:

• Makes appropriate decisions regarding the hiring of new employees.

• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.

• Enhances professional growth and development through in-service meetings, educational programs and conferences.

• Responsible for oversight of monthly reporting of procedures, revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, purchasing and delinquent accounts.

• Oversees repairs and preventative maintenance, directs and approves purchases of operational supplies, researches information, prioritizes and makes recommendations regarding operational equipment.

• Orders supplies.

• Reviews all clinic financial and statistical data.

• Understands HIPAA and OSHA regulations and assures all staff is in compliance.

• Works to establish prepared and documented disaster awareness plans.

• Assist with duties in the clinic as needed.

• Adheres to attendance policy, dress code with health system name badge, personal hygiene, and maintains a clean well-groomed appearance.


Job Requirements

Requirements:

-Bachelors degree in healthcare or related field OR 5 years of management/leadership experience in healthcare.
