As our Advanced RN you will play a pivotal role within our healthcare team, contributing directly to the success of our practice at Saint Mary's Community Hospital. This role demands a patient-focused approach, strong communication skills, and a commitment to professionalism and teamwork. You will leverage your nursing expertise to provide comprehensive care for diverse patient populations and their families, operating within established clinic workflows and supporting our providers in a dynamic, rural health setting. If you're a dedicated Registered Nurse looking to make a significant impact while advancing your career in a supportive environment, this is the opportunity for you.

Every day you will perform direct patient care activities, including detailed admission interviews, accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation, and efficient patient flow management. You'll work closely with physicians, assisting with exams, treatments, procedures, and testing, ensuring all aspects of patient visits are meticulously documented. Triage patients, especially those in emergency situations, prepare and reset exam rooms, manage instrument sterilization, and procure critical medical supplies. Additionally, you'll conduct phlebotomy and lab procedures, communicate results to patients, obtain necessary consents, and provide essential patient and family education on healthcare management, disease processes, and treatments under provider supervision, upholding the highest standards of compliance and ethical practice.

To be successful in this role, you will need a diploma or bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing, along with 1-3 years of related experience in a clinic, specialty clinic, or acute hospital setting. You must possess a current RN license in Nebraska (RN:NE) and Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) certification. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and computer proficiency are essential. You'll master clinical competencies quickly and maintain effective, professional communication. The ability to manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment, requiring some physical demands, is also crucial. If you are a compassionate and skilled nurse ready for a challenging yet rewarding position in community services within a provider-based rural health setting, we encourage you to apply.
