Overview

Surgical Technician III 

As our Surgical Technician III at the CHI St. Luke's Health Springwoods Village  Hospital, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiative and Dignity Health, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you.

The operating room (OR) runs as a team, every person on the team has an important role that has a direct impact on the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

CHI St. Luke's Health–Springwoods Village Hospital is a 10 beds, 4 operating rooms facility servings residents of Spring and North Houston. We offer the latest in diagnostic and surgical expertise, including emergency services, imaging, and outpatient surgery.  As a LEED Certified green facility, our hospital has maintained high environmental standards from our build throughout our day-to-day.  We are part of CommonSpirit Health which operates 139 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21 states, making our services accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents.

6:30am-3:15pm M-F with late stay responsibilities


Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization
  • Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you’ll be supporting 
  • Adapt to the needs of emergency situations
  • Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma/GED

Licensure/Certification:

Certified Surgical Technician (CST)

BLS Certification Required

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of experience

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Able to work in at least 3 different specialty areas
