Overview

As our Interventional Radiology Tech at St. Vincent, you will help patients and medical teams perform intricate radiological procedures so they can diagnose and treat medical conditions with precision.

Every day, you will be responsible for operating radiological equipment and assisting during interventional procedures. You will be expected to ensure patient comfort and safety while delivering high-quality images and data to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.

To be successful in this role, you must have extensive knowledge of radiological equipment and techniques, along with excellent communication skills to interact with patients and medical professionals effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Greets patients by confirming patient identification; reviewing imaging request; checking for
  • special instructions; confirming anticipated services with patient
  • Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of imaging procedures;
  • explaining equipment; answering questions
  • Provide timely and accurate assessment, identification and delivery of special procedures or other
  • interventional examination services to access patients
  • Ensure file systems are set-up properly
  • Assist in transporting patients
  • Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and contrast availability
  • Document supplies used during procedures for utilization and billing purposes
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records of radiological procedures
  •  Enter pertinent information in computer system to assist in statistical, research and patient follow up

We are offering up to a $10,000 Sign On Bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.


Qualifications
  • Graduate of a program of Radiologic Technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
  • Active Radiologic Technology  license in good standing with the State of Arkansas
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA)
