Security Supervisor
The posted compensation range of $31.94 to $46.31/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing a safe, secure environment for the care and welfare of the Medical Center staff, patients, visitors and properties through providing leadership and support for the day-to-day operations of Security Services.

Qualifications
We Require
Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent, required. Also required are: knowledge of crime/loss prevention, investigative techniques, and applicable local, state and federal laws; ability to interact positively with staff, providers, patients, and visitors; sound judgment in evaluating and reacting to situations under emergency and high-stress conditions; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong skills in the use of computers (Microsoft Word and Excel, E-mail), scanner, digital camera, and the use of special security programs including employee ID photo database, security report database, and Washington State Law.
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Three years of increasingly responsible security experience in a healthcare setting is also preferred. IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety) Certification (Basic, Advanced, or Supervisor), or ability to obtain certification within 1 year of hire.
