Responsibilities
This is a hybrid role that offers part time remote work, and part time onsite work. This position will require at least a minimum of 4- 6 months of onsite training and orientation in our downtown Seattle clinic. Once orientation complete, the RN will be able to work remotely up to 2 days per week. And 3 days per week will need to be onsite. Please note: there may be times when the RN is asked to work more shifts onsite due to clinic patient volumes.
Gastroenterology and Hepatology are integral parts of the Digestive Heath at Virginia Mason. Our gastroenterologists and hepatologists are recognized internationally for treatment of diseases and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and liver. Some of the conditions we treat include: Anal Dysplasia, Biliary Tract Disorders, Colon and Intestinal Disorders, Colonoscopy Screening and Prevention, Endoscopic Procedures, Esophageal Disorders, IBD Treatment, Liver Disorders, Pancreatic Disorders.
The responsibilities of the Registered Nurse includes:
- Coordinating and facilitating quality management of a broad based outpatient population across the continuum of care.
- Providing skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources
- Supporting the care team in the provision of patient care
- Providing patient advice
- Assisting in prioritizing daily work of the clinic
- Providing direction to team members, including oversight of Medical Assistant's clinical competency.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State licensure as an RN
- CPR certification is required every two years
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting
- Current working knowledge of electronic medical records
