Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Primarily responsible for leading the division SSRM Operations and Implementation teams. Accountable for conversion compliance, operational performance, and financial outcomes within the region. This position is the primary connection point for region executive leadership regarding SSRM initiatives (pipeline) and performance – leveraging relationships and influence to achieve both region and national savings targets. Additionally, this position is responsible for expanding external spend under management, and effectively engaging end-users, orienting resources, and developing plans to optimize supply and services spend.

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leads division Operations and Implementation SSRM leaders and associates to achieve savings and cost control targets.
2. Ensures requirements of people, process, and technology for successful installation of SSRM strategies.
3. Works with region executives and other internal stakeholders to align SSRM strategy to broader regional strategies, with the goal of delivering optimal value to the organization.
4. Oversees contract utilization and compliance to optimize the value of CommonSpirit’s contract portfolio.
5. Selects, orients, assigns, and evaluates regional and market leaders in SSRM Operations and Implementation.
6. Leads the compliance effort of key policies that govern SSRM Operations and Implementation.
7. Works as a change agent in gaining support for key SSRM strategies and initiatives, and proactively communicating impacts to leadership across the region.

8. Maximizes spend under management by effectively engaging end-users of supplies and services to control expense, improve vendor performance, and reduce risk for the organization.
9. Accountable for the effective management of external spend (supplies and services) across the region – accurate recording of inventory assets, enforcement of control points, ensuring alignment of supply expense with revenue generating activities, etc


Qualifications

Required Education

Required Master’s or Post Graduate Degree

Required Experience

Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in Supply Chain within a health care facility system or other relevant experience. Team management and/or project management at scale is preferred.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Established leadership skills
  • Knowledge of coaching and mentoring best practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to influence and motivate others in order to achieve targets within a determined time period
  • Ability to prepare quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders
  • Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
