Responsibilities

This Content Manager supports National Purchasing Partners and is responsible for creating and managing copy and publishing various content across NPP websites and sales/marketing materials. This position works within marketing and communicates with multiple departments such as IT, vendor managers, and sales to implement quality content across all NPP channels.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Manages and updates various marketing channels, including WordPress websites, representative portals, and occasionally social media.
  • Writes engaging copy for various marketing channels, such as emails, web pages, and flyers/handouts for trade shows.
  • Ensures the content meets users’ needs and NPP brand guidelines.
  • Supports NPP team by conceptualizing and creating innovative, compelling content layouts for existing and new web copy and marketing materials.
  • Partners with assigned staff to customize content and user experience for customers as well as for marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborates with marketing and technical teams to maintain site standards.
  • Assists with related projects/activities as directed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, creative writing, or related field OR equivalent (4) years of work experience
  • 3+ years experience writing and managing content
  • Familiarity with MS Office and WordPress
  • Excellent storytelling skills
  • Basic understanding of online marketing methodologies such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Skill in prioritizing activities and managing multiple concurrent projects and strong aptitude for detail.
  • Ability to both deal with clients and the internal development team in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Experience working within limitations of content management systems.
  • Familiarity with blog writing and limitations of content management systems and other content tools.
