Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology DirectorDiagnostic Imaging Supervisor and fellow Technologist the Rad Tech Extern performs a variety of duties that assist Radiology Technologist. Transports patients to and from the emergency room/floor as necessary. Assist technologist with patient set up and Hospital Based computer systems. Produces images and makes copies as needed. Able to perform all Radiology Technologist duties. The Radiology Technologist Extern key role is to support Staff Radiology Technologist in preparation orientation and transitioning into a full time Radiology Technologist. Able to perform all non-Fluoroscopic procedures. May only shadow Diagnostic Radiology Technologist during Fluoroscopy procedures. Rad Tech Extern has 9 months to obtain California State License.


Qualifications

Minimum

  • Recently received a certification of completion from a Radiologic Technology program obtained no more than 1 year prior to date of hire

  • Eligible for the CRT and ARRT certificate

  • Must have successfully completed a Radiologic Technology training program

  • Board eligible for State and National Licensure

  • CT CPRBLS
